I Love Michigan—

I Love Michigan—

周六早晨观赏Tahquamenon Falls,lower and upper。

I Love Michigan—

My best friend’s wedding

I Love Michigan: Turnip Rock One-day Trip

So I couldn’t stop thinking about that mysterious rock although lots of pictures could be googled online. Finally, my chance came. Michigan in Pictures featured a post about the frozen Lake Huron and brave people’s venturing stories recently. Now we could hike/ski on the solid (or not) ice to Turnip Rock! Also thanks to Craig on Flickr, I got a plan, allured another 6 trapped Ph.D students, bought necessary winter safety/warm stuff and we were READY TO GO! Honestly, I was super worried the night before, cause I literally don’t want anyone to fall into the freezing water, although from last year’s kayaking, I knew the water was really just knee deep at most. I had a ” How to save yourself on lake ice 101 course” and spread the syllabus among our wechat group that whole night by surfing the internet.
